We would be pleased to welcome you to the international opening panel of the 5th mFUND conference “With data-driven innovations towards the mobility of the future” by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), titled
“Shaping the future of mobility in Europe with data-driven solutions”
on 19 October 2021
from 10:00 to 11:30 hrs (CET).
The online interactive event intends to provide a forum for the Europe-wide dialogue between actors from politics, administration, industry and research on data-driven mobility applications and innovations.
The principle subject of the conference is to determine how innovations with open data can shape the mobility of the future. The international panel discussion aims to provide insights into the relevant debates at the European level. Themes of the discussions are:
The international opening panel continues the exchange at European level begun in 2020 during the German Presidency of the EU Council with the conference "Open Data and Smart Mobility in Europe" and will be conducted in English. The rest of the conference will be in German.

Since its launch in 2016, the mFUND programme has become a central catalyst for data-based innovations in the transport sector. With over 340 projects, the programme is providing important impetus for Mobility 4.0. mFUND-projects are making significant contributions in the field of digitalization, shaping future transportation to be efficient, inclusive and environmentally friendly.
The mFUND provides financial assistance and fosters networking between funding recipients from relevant sectors (science, industry, government), as well as non-governmental organisations. Furthermore, the programme promotes interlinking of research and practice. The annual mFUND conference acts as a central forum for this.
